Sewer Scopes
Video Sample
A sewer scope is a camera inspection of the home’s main sewer line. This homeowner-owned pipe leads from the house to the publicly owned city main sewer line. Sewer scopes can reveal damages, blockages, and other problems. It also can spot potential problem areas before they develop into serious issues or hazards. If problem areas and damages are discovered during the inspection process, we will locate the approximate location and depth of the area(s) in question by marking the ground above. After the inspection, clients will receive a report with videos, pictures, findings and recommendations. This allows homeowners, home buyers, and home sellers to act before extensive damage, health issues, or expensive repairs unexpectedly arise.
A sewer inspection is highly recommended for homeowners and buyers because of the potential health risks involved with damaged sewer lines. When a sewer line is damaged or blocked, sewage can back up into the home. This water contains a variety of biological hazards that can cause intestinal, lung, and other infections. The moisture can also create the perfect growing environment for mold. Additionally, if backups go unnoticed, the issues can spread and expose people in the home to further health risks.
